In 2017, we piloted an innovative model of care model in partnership with Opal Aged Care Specialists. Concentric Rehabilitation Centre was Australia’s first rehabilitation Centre co-located within Opal’s Cardinal Freeman Aged Care Facility, delivering enhanced physiotherapy and allied health services to both facility residents and those in the wider community.

Due to overwhelming success, Concentric have gone onto co-locate within aged care facilities across the country and continue to expand rapidly providing onsite therapy to residents and the local surrounding community.

We provide services delivered flexibly with a focus on the facility’s unique requirements. Each program is designed and implemented using evidence-based practice by the experts of our allied health team. Management ensures continual communication and constant support to the facility, both on and off site.

Aged care support services help address symptoms older Australians may experience as a result of the ageing process. As you age, you lose the strength and flexibility that gives you mobility and balance. People over the age of 75 are especially vulnerable to a loss of mobility and the subsequent changes that lead to falls and injuries. When injuries occur, they ultimately have a negative impact on the quality and quantity of life.

The various areas represented by our allied health professionals play an important role in our aged care support services. We can assess and treat conditions and injuries of the lower body, provide prescriptions, prosthetic supports, and other treatments that alleviate the pain of the hips, knees, and feet. We can also assist with problems caused by illness or injury.
